flow asking for additional permissions

I am building an agent which extends into Power Automate. The flow adds a row to an excel file, and while it does it, I get the following error message:

Additional permissions are required to run this action. To proceed, please select 'Connect', and review any missing connections.

Once you have made these updates, please select 'Retry'. You can also ask me anything else to go to a different topic. - It gives me 2 options -

Connect - and Retry. When I connect, it brings up the connector which I can authenticate and I go back and retry and works as it should. How do I setup the authentication so when users of the company don't get this error message and have to connect manually?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

    Hi,

If a connection is required for the user, they are going to need to Connect at least the first time so that it creates the authentication based on them.

does this happen every time or just the first time? note even if its just the first time, whenever you release it will do it,  and possibly if their credential cache/refresh is over it will do it again.

In addition to the previous good reply, you could setup an account that access to the excel file and use that to authenticate instead of the individual user.

Odd - It doesn't let me reply to a post. This occurs almost every time its run. I thought it would take the credentials of the user which is an employee, which is what I thought I configured for. @Michael E. Gernaey - I prefer not to create a "dummy" account to authenticate against.

Agree, it shouldn't ask every single time.

Can you tell me what mode the connections are in.. This is.. annoying and I am sorry you are facing this. This might be more of a show me lots of pictures of your stuff so I can help pinpoint why because it shouldn't do it all the time.

Oh and just.. for FYI, for any flow etc, when its set to Run As User (meaning the user has to provide credentials), if the user doesn't have connections already its going to ask you (the user I mean) to approve the connections, but in this case.. its oddly different. I agree with you as in it shouldn't happen all the time, but under the conver I dont know what the connections are set to.

And FYI, connections themselves, don't just take the users credentials from being logged in. They have to be approved at least once time by the user. But.. I am not even sure this is that situation.
