Whys does the lookup field not have any data?

I'm trying to use a lookup field to Users to set the defaultselectedfields in a combobox but am noticing that the lookup field doesn't return any data.

I can see two rows show up, which is correct but they are empty. The strange thing is how if I use the 'Purchase Requisition Copy Tos' in a gallery I can access the 'Full Name' using the look up field.

Is this a limitation with PowerApps? I don't understand how I can access the data through the lookup field in the gallery, but not outside of it.

In your combo box, what is selected in the fields to display property (it's probably called something else but should be below the Datasource property on the right hand panel). A field that has no value is probably selected which is why you see 2 entries but no values.

Let me know if this works.

    Hi @Mgodby ,

Could you please share a bit more about the 'The User' column in your 'Purchase Requisition Copy Tos' CDS Entity? Is it a LookUp field which references values from the Users Entity?

Actually, it is an known issue with the LookUp field in CDS Entity. The user @eselover has faced similar issue with you, please check the response within the following thread:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps-Formerly/Common-Data-Service-Returns-no-data-from-a-Lookup-column/m-p/272581

Could you please share a bit more about the ComboBox that you mentioned? Is it connected to Users Entity? If you want to set the DefaultSelectedItems property of a ComboBox based on the 'The User' field in your 'Purchase Requisition Copy Tos' Entity, as an alternative solution, you could cosider set the DefaultSelectedItems property of ComboBox based on Users Entity directly.

    Best regards,
