How do I get the value of a column for a particular folder in Power Automate?
I need to get the QBID value and use it later on in the flow. This line is for a folder. The Get Folder Metadata action doesn't return those custom columns or their values. The Get Item action requires a List Name value, and I don't know what that is. Is it the path of the folder? I tried getting the folder metadata manually by pointing that action to the folder above, and then I put the path into the List Name, and I got an error.
The Get file properties SharePoint action works to get the QBID value, but it doesn't show those other custom columns. That's fine for now, but I'm curious why it does that. Also, I'm so sick of wasting two hours searching the Internet on how to do something because the names of SharePoint actions and their definitions mean a million different things. I'm happy about the fact that Get file properties works, but endlessly frustrated as to why we can't make another identical action called Get folder properties.
