Run flows unattended with PAD

Hello

I have a free account of PAD and I have created some flows. Could I create a flow to run another flows? Or I need to buy a user license to do this?

 

If I buy a user license, I will have my PAD flows availables in the web cloud?

    I am pretty sure more than one PAD flow can run at a time, so I would create a flow to man-handle your PAD software.  If it is not recognizing UI elements, you can always use image recognition.  I actually have a PAD flow that creates another PAD flow to create variables and send them back to my current flow across the environment, so you should be able to simply run a flow with the same interface.

    Hello @aontanon 

     

    There is an action called "Run desktop flow" under Flow control category.

    You can launch another desktop flow within your current flow.

     

    Also you can set INPUT variables and get OUTPUT variables as a result, pass data between flows to build complex process for your needs.

    Hello

    First of all, thank you for your response.

    Let me show you an example of what I want:

    Flows 

    -flow1

    -flow2

    -flow3

     

    I want to create a new flow (flow4) that executes flow1, flow2 and flow3, one after one.

    I think this is not possible with PAD, so I'm wondering if buying a user license this could be possible.

    But this solution is not available in PAD, isn't it?

    I guess that I need a user license to see my PAD flows in web console, because now when I log in https://us.flow.microsoft.com I can not see my PAD flows in the web console

    Hello @aontanon 

     

    Please update your PAD software to the latest version, then you can find "Run desktop flow" action in the left pane of Flow Designer.

    You can use this action with free PAD license. 😉

    Hi @Anonymous

    I'm using version 2.7.49.21099

    If I update to the latest version, all my flows will be compatible and I will not loose anything? I have 7 flows created from march and a lot of work done and I don't want to loose anything.

     

    Another question, with this latest version is also possible to program the execution of a flow? For example, program the execution of a flow every day at 20h.

    Hello @aontanon 

     

    I saw you have posted another thread for your first question.

    In my personal experiance, I can run my flows created with older PAD versions on the latest PAD version. But you would better wait for answer from experts if you have any worry about that.

     

    As for your second question, there is no functionality to trigger flows by scheduled date/time even in the latest PAD version. To use scheduled triggers, you need a Premium Connector license for Power Automate cloud flow.

    Then, I guess that to use scheduled triggers I need a user license, which one?

    - Per-user plan

    - Per-user plan with attended RPA

    I would try to find a workaround to trigger flows

    To run PAD desktop flows with scheduled triggers, you need:

    • Windows 10 Pro / Enterprise Edition
    • Power Automate per user with Attended RPA plan
