Hi Mates,

We have excel file to read field values, one column is there with ID (1,2,3 etc...)

I can update/create rows in SharePoint list field datatype is string only but not if datatype is number datatype.

when i try to update it throws error with "Object must implement IConvertible. clientRequestId"

Then i deleted that number field and recreated with String datatype then its working/updating,

but how can i update excel Id field with number datatype field.

I tried like below conversion but not working.stringtointconvertion.PNG

Help would be highly appreciated.

Check my response to your other post.  You can's put quotes (") around a formula or it will become a string not a function.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

So as @Pstork1 mentioned, you cant use quotes in the formula otherwise it will not work and see it with it as a string.

As you can verify in other posts asking a similar question as yours, you need to have the formula inserted into the dynamic content directly with no quotes: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Error-while-convert-string-to-number/td-p/402837

In your case it would be int(outputs('Compose'))

Let me know if this helps. I have left the links to other similar posts so users can find this more easily:

    Hi @Anonymous ,

So to extract images from Excel yo have the following Community thread that might help you in that here:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Extract-image-from-Excel-embed-in-html-email/td-p/297241

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Excel-and-Pictures/td-p/14946

In essence you need to have the columns as Image [Image] and teh relative URI path to the image.

As for the conversion there is also another thread that might be useful for your goal here:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Base64-to-Binary/td-p/318956

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,
    Ricardo
