Excel to Sharepoint List Spaces

Hi can anyone here tell me why the following happens:

So I have an field in an excel which typically looks like this

B2939           H283939   12/12/22          3SJDSHGD

I understand it is unusual to have different data in one field but under the circumstances of how the system works this is essential.

I then have a power automate flow which uploads this data into the matching field on Sharepoint but it is uploaded like this:

B2939 H283939 12/12/22 3SJDSHGD

I'm guessing the list won't allow multiple spaces? Does anyone know a work-around for this?

Thanks!

Sion

It shouldn't remove the spaces when you output it to your SharePoint field. Are you able to show your flow and how you are adding the data to SharePoint?

    Hi @SionHuws ,

I guess I reproduce your scenario, please refer to my below test:

In my SP list, there is a single line of text column named "test_text".

This is my action to update: the Name column has the same value as yours.

    Result:

    HenWang_1-1681720026274.png

However, when I double click this column value, it shows me the whole value and it looks like this:

    HenWang_2-1681720116284.png

So, I believe the value is still the same, it's just looking like all the spaces are removed partly. No need to worry about this point.

    Best Regards,

    Hen Wang
