Different default views on different subareas on the sitemap of a model-driven app

Hi,

I want to create two subareas in the sitemap of a model-driven app which both represent the Account entity but show different views. There are Accounts which are Competitors and Accounts which are Customers. I have two different Views on the Account entity which filter correspondingly for Competitors and Customers.

I can only specify one default view globally for the entity but not for the each subarea. Is there any solution to this problem? Maybe using JavaScript?

    Hi @kv ,

You could try to add url to subarea.

Thank you! Does that work with different environments?

This doesn't seem to work for different environments since they have their own URL's.  Can anyone suggest how this can be addressed?  Is there a resource parameter that can be referenced per environment?

    Hi  @samuelsaenz1996,

you can make it work by using an Subarea (Page) in the app designer. Then you set the content type to URL, and you create a relative link to the view. Since the view GUID is the same on different environment this should work (I tried it and it works fine for me).

    /main.aspx?pagetype=entitylist&etn=TABLE_NAME&viewid=VIEW_GUID&viewType=1039

Hello @kv, when i did that, it turns that tab into a button, which opens a new window pointing to that URL. Which is strange because it was working fine in my dev environment but then in the production environment it gives me that
