How does Power Pages Anonymous users license work?

Hi,

I am having some confusion in understanding the benefit of power pages anonymous users licenses. If I create a power page website and set its visibility to public, even then I can access using my personal gmail id. Then what is the use of purchasing anonymous users license?

Hi, if your Website is a production Portal (pointing to a PROD dataverse environment) you should look into licenses, otherwise Microsoft will reach out to you/your admin to do so.

A technical benefit here as well is about app scaling, your Portal Web App won't scale until you purchase capacity, which means the performance will be very poor.

So, we won't need any kind of licenses till we are ready to deploy the site to production?
And can we convert a trial portal to production without the need of any license as it is mentioned in MS documentation that we need to have required license for it to happen.

So, what should be the pre-requisites in order to convert a trial portal to production?

Hi, I couldn't find anything in the documentation or licensing guide. My understanding is that if your Portal is pointing to a Sandbox, you can "convert to production" with no license implication.

Might be no harm to open a support ticket with Microsoft or reach out to a Microsoft Sales Representative to double check
