Custom dynamic filters on entity view

Hello

In my environment, there is a product table. A record can have 3 parameters ("Indoor/outdoor", "Water Toys/Sand Toys/Wooden Toys/Rubber Toys", "red/blue/green/yellow".

IDProductIndoor/outdoorTypeColor
1WaterblastOutdoorWater Toysblue
2WaterblastOutdoorWater Toysyellow
3SandshellOutdoorSand Toysgreen
4BucketOutdoorRubber Toysyellow
5TrainsetIndoorWooden Toysred
6TrainsetIndoorWooden Toysblue
7TrainsetIndoorWooden Toysgreen
8TrainsetIndoorWooden Toysyellow
9Bounce-BallIndoorRubber Toysblue
10Bounce-BallIndoorRubber Toysred

something like this (I let my imagination run wild)

Now I want to filter this view based on the filtered records through three dropdowns The dropdowns will be filled in in a non-logical order. The first dropdown that gets filled in, let's say indoor/outdoor, shows all the possible values (indoor or outdoor). When outdoor gets picked. The next dropdown that will be filled in (in this example color) should only show the values (blue, yellow and green) because there are no red outdoor toys. Let's say yellow gets picked. When the type-dropdown gets opened, only water toys and rubber toys should be visible.

I was thinking of letting my view update everytime a value in a dropdown gets chosen. And was hoping of retrieving the distinct values of the corresponding attribute and putting them in the correct dropdown. This possible solution can only be achieved through a custom javascript function i guess.

Does someone have a prior experience with a scenario like this or with a custom javascript function which can retrieve the remaining values of a filtered view and putting them in a dropdown?

Thank you so much

    hi @hardikv,

thanks for your response. Unfortunately i've already tried these optionsets.

In my case above, the numbers of options decreases when other dropdowns gets filled in.

This doesn't appear in the blogs you provided.

    Thank you anyway
