I have some records that are duplicated, not sure why the message text and ID not picking up the selected records info and ID to display it keep showing but it is deleting the right item.
ID 355 but display is 353 and the text is also diff

sure, it's "Are you sure you want to delete item - " & varRecord.Category.Value & " - ID : " & varRecord.ID

Can you try to reference directly the selected gallery item ? I mean something like ...
"Are you sure you want to delete item - " & yourGallery.Selected.Category.Value & " - ID : " & yourGallery.Selected.ID
