Copilot Studio License

Hello,

I'm considering purchasing the CoPilot Studio license and have encountered some conflicting information regarding its pricing and subscription terms. The official documentation states the license costs $200 per month, but I've read on other blogs that it might require a year-long commitment.

Could someone clarify the following for me:

  1. If the license is $200 per month, am I required to commit to a full year, making it a total of $2400?

  2. If not, is it possible to cancel the subscription after 5 months should it no longer be needed?

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated as I want to ensure I understand the terms before making a decision.

Thank you!

Best regards,

    Re: Copilot Studio License

There is no additional cost to deploy in MS Teams. But there is a version of Copilot Studio that can be used in Teams directly. It does not require this additional licensing, but some features like Generative Answers are not available. Bots built using that client can also only be deployed in Teams.  This article explains. Get access to Microsoft Copilot Studio - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn

    Re: Copilot Studio License

If you look at the details in the purchase panel for Copilot studio you will see that its $200/month but an annual commitment.  But that is your tenant license and it covers the use of Copilot's created in the studio by any user in your environment.  The license to create Copilots is under add-ons for that license.  There is also a renewable trial version for the user license.

This article talks about the difference between the tenant license and the user license.
