Condition returns false while the condition is meet

I am writing to seek assistance with a problem I am facing regarding the Power Automate Condition.

My objective is to copy a file from one SharePoint document library to matching folder in another. The condition for this operation is that the GUID column should match between the files in both SharePoint libraries. The GUID is a single text field in both SP. However, I am consistently receiving a false result from the condition, and I am unable to determine the cause of this issue.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or insights you can provide to help me resolve this matter.

@martatracik To troubleshoot a condition action, use Compose actions to confirm the dynamic content matches. The is equal to operator requires an exact match.

Add a Compose action after the trigger and store the GUID dynamic content from the flow trigger in the Compose action.

Add a Compose action above the Condition action and store the the GUID dynamic content from the Get files (properties only) action in it.

Tip: Make sure you are selecting the dynamic content from the correct action. Pay attention to the action name.

@creativeopinion thank you, i managed to add compose action to storage GUID for a newly created item, however when it comes to compose for Get files - it gives me possibility to do it , but i cant selected it to the condition.

when i use GUID equals Compose still have False.

not sure what to do more.

@martatracik I'm assuming you have the incorrect dynamic content inserted into the Compose action here. You should be inserting the GUID dynamic content from the When a file is created (properties only) trigger.

Because this trigger will return a SINGLE item, it should not automatically apply an Apply to Each action. If you selected the GUID dynamic content from the Get files (properties only) action, it would automatically nest your Compose action inside.

To troubleshoot your condition you need to verify that the dynamic content you are using in your condition matches (since that's what you are checking for).

To do that you need a Compose action to output the GUID from the flow trigger and a Compose action to output the GUID from the item you are currently looping through.

Set up your flow so it looks like this. Tip: RENAME your actions to keep your flow organized.

It's important that you are selecting the correct dynamic content for each Compose action.

    Note the different action names.

Your GUID dynamic content will be listed under each header. Run a test and review the outputs. This condition isn't set up correctly, this is incorrect. If you want to check for a match of the GUID from the file being created against a file from the Get Files (properties only) action, you need to ensure you have the correct dynamic content in your condition.

I have identified the issue. Essentially, the first file is generated by a separate flow, and the field GUID was not yet populated as the second flow was executed too quickly. I discovered this problem when the Compose action consistently returned a blank value. To resolve it, I simply included the newly created flow in the flow responsible for file creation. I tried to introduce a Delay, but it did not resolve the issue. Now, everything is working correctly.
