I'm trying to create a simple flow for renaming my PDF files based on excel data. But for some reason the output of my get file or rename file is empty. I don't see why. the output from my "read from excel" is fine. what am i doing wrong?

Does the "OldID" match the file name of the PDF file? Does it also include the extension (.pdf)? If it matches the name, but not the extension, you need to filter for %OldID%.pdf or %OldID%.*

Hello 🙂 I am struggling with exactly this topic, how to rename files based on excel data. Could maybe someone give me advice?
I am trying to rename files with data from an excel sheet that is linked to an individual number on the PDF file. This number is also present in the excel file.

I'd be very excited if soemone could help 😄

read excel to a variable, but it’s in table format, so you have to get the data out such as

    for each %exceldata%
    Set %Number% to %CurrentItem[‘Number’]%
get files %Number%*.pdf (if the pdf starts with the number; move the star in front of the pdf begins with the number. )

    good luck.
