MS Forms Multi-choice values are not showing properly in SharePoint.

Hello All,

I am facing an issue.

I have created a form in MS Forms. Users have to select one or more options in the form

Then the response will be stored in the SharePoint List.

But, the values or the multi-choice values are not being shown here properly. It is looking something like this.

Screenshot 2024-02-06 170552.png

However, the Options column is a "Choice Column".

Also, when these values are stored in SharePoint, I have to send them through email using Power Automate like in the "Send an Email v2" trigger.

Can anyone show me show to solve this? Please Help. Thank you in advance!

    Hi @jay_mangukia ,

You might need to add a Select action before Creating the SharePoint item,

Your choices in the form are being returned as a String array, but SharePoint I believe is expecting a object array with a column "Value",

The value in the red box on Select should represent your Question1 value from the form response.

@jay_mangukia - I assume you want to include the details in the email body?

@jay_mangukia You can directly include the responses in the Email body...

You can look at the end of the video around 10 minutes- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnio2qEZKto

Yes. I can get the normal details in my mail body like text and stuff. But I am not able to get the multichoice response in my mail body.

For example this is my form which has a multi choice question where user can select one more options.

    Screenshot 2024-02-07 121759.png

When the user submits the form then it will stored in my SharePoint list (Thank you for the video suggestion). Like this,

Screenshot 2024-02-07 122226.pngBut when I try to attach the dynamic content of "Sports" to my email body like,

    Screenshot 2024-02-07 122052.png

The mail which I receive during the test shows something like this,

    Screenshot 2024-02-07 122239.png

This is what I want to avoid. It is showing with brackets and commas, I just want to show them as plain text.

    How can I do that????

    Hi @jay_mangukia

Depending on how you want to display them will determine the answer.

However, to remove the array square brackets, you could use the join() function to achieve this:

    As a formula, enter:

    join(outputs('Get_form_responses')?['body/[questionguid]'],', ')

You'll need to add the Sports questions as a dynamic value in the formula,

    sgtsnacks64_0-1707296073529.png

This will combine the string elements of the array being passed back by the Sports question, and separate them by a comma and space.

If you're formatting your email as HTML, you could add a <br> to perform a line break per item in the response.

Got it, Where do I have to write this formula? In New Compose action like this?

You can either add it to compose to observe the output for directly into the mail body.
