Needing help with Power Automate to Help Re-create daily summery from SharePoint Alerts

Good Afternoon,

I really need some help. I have been working on trying to find a solution on this for the past 2 weeks.

I'm a novice SharePoint and Power Automate User so please bare with me.

So most of this I have built out, but I have 2 problems.

First Problem: So I have built out everything and I'm trying to build the Summery Report of items that were entered into a SharePoint list, that were entered in the last 12 hours. I have been to forum to forum and the solutions that have been given are not pulling the right data. Every time the report runs, if I use "Create ge or gt" in the "Get Items" "Filter Query" the return comes back with no items. If I enter "Create lt or le" it returns items from the beginning of the SharePoint list existence.

I have seen various ways this is entered to filter data from the last 12 hours. Currently, I have the expression: " fromatDateTime(addhours9utcNow(), -12), 'yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ') with no luck in filtering to data to return items entered in the last 12 hours. I have tried addhours and others I found from website s with no success.

Can someone help me figure that out so I can make my email report come out with the last 12 hours of list entries? I have been pulling my hair out and embarissed to have to ask for help.

Second item is: So, same report building above. When I set  the filter to Created le, at least I can at least see the the item input from the beginning of the SharePoint list to compare the output data. So what's happening is, from my source list, I have a 1) Look up field, 2) the same Lookup Fields additional columns for their source list showing, and 3) a Choice field and these fields are all showing a {"odata.type":"#Mircrosoft.Azure.COnnectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedRreferance"'":0,"Value":Id30"Value........ etc etc.... on all of these items when it puts the output into an email. I have looked around and found many references online of how to fix the output to only show the value in the email, and I have tried them but with no luck.

I hope I have explained this so it can be understood. Any help would be appreciated! I'm trying to get this Power Automate solution in place before the end of this month as they will cut off Alerts when that occurs.

I'm using Power Automate Cloud Flow with a 12 hour recuring trigger.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

To filter SharePoint items created in the last 12 hours, use this expression in the "Get Items" filter query: Created ge 'formatDateTime(addHours(utcNow(), -12), 'yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ')'.

For the lookup and choice fields showing extra data, you need to use item(), like item()['LookupFieldName'] to get just the value you need. Ensure the lookup field’s value is referenced correctly to avoid showing the full JSON object.

Also, verify that your "Get Items" action is set to pull from the correct SharePoint site and list. If the expression still doesn't work, double-check your SharePoint column names for accuracy.

If I have answered your question, please mark it as the preferred solution ✅ . If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up 👍.
    Regards,
    Riyaz
