Create environment DLP as Admin

Hello,

is it possible to create an environment dlp as Power Platform admin. I can not find where I can switch from tenant dlp to environment dlp where I can see the custom connectors and not only the option to set the pattern for categorizing custom connectors.

Would be great to get some help 🙂

Kind regards

Thanks to both of you for answering!

@HSheild okay, unkonventient but thats actally what I am experiencing! Thanks.

@DeviKrishna but in the view in your screenshot you will se only the custom connector pattern not specific custom connectors of an environment. Sure you can have this policy only for a specific environment but this will not offer you the same option/information as an environemnt admin will have.

    Hi @Neewy ,

Yes. Very much possible. If you are Power platform admin,

    Login to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com

Navigate to Policies->DLP Policy ->Create New Policy

In the Scope Section, Click on Add Multiple Environments ->Choose the environment you want -> Add to Policy. Click on Next-> Create Policy.

If you are trying through Power shell commands,

    Refer the below link ,

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/create-dlp-policy#:~:text=To%20protect%20data%20in%20your,data%20can%20be%20shared%20with.&text=DLP%20policies%20can%20be%20created,the%20Power%20Platform%20admin%20center.

    Hi @Neewy ,

As a Power Platform Admin you can only create tenant DLPs.  To create an environment DLP you have to login as a user that is not a Power Platform Admin but who is a System Administrator of the environment.

In this situation, (as a Power Platform Admin) what I usually do is create a tenant DLP policy but only apply it to a single environment.  It achieves the same outcome - except the environment admins cannot edit the policy if they need to.
