Get Excel table content and post to Teams [weekly]

Hi there,

I'm pretty new to Power Automate. I have a project to integrate an existing inventory system via Forms and it has been a successful run so far (another flow).

Now I wanted to retrieve the tabulated data (sort of summary) on a weekly basis and I created new flow for that matter. It is rather successful however, I did not manage to get the flow done right. Below are the screenshots of the said issue.

And here is the said Excel Table.

The intention is to retrieve the Excel Table content with "LOW" Trigger modifier and post it to Teams channel via bot.

Here is how it looks like in Teams channel.

Example of the flow run.Example of the flow run.

Question is, how did I end up with 3 bot postings for only 1 item (first row) instead of the Table content with "LOW" trigger modifier? I reckoned much the 'get a row' flow did its job that is to read only the first row of the Table but why 3 times is unknown to me. Really appreciate anyone kind enough to help me fix this. Thanks.

Regards.

I think you need to use instead List Rows in a Table action , with a filter Query as

Trigger eq 'LOW' and then apply to each of the return of the List Rows Present in a Table and then send the message to the teams.

Oh my it's working! I have no idea how that filter query ODATA works tbh.

But anyway, thank you so much @Mira_Ghaly for your fast response.

Also, suppose I have over 10 or maybe 100 of those 'LOW' item count trigger, would it be possible to group them in a single bot message instead of individual ones? My apologies if this has skewed out of the topic. I shall consider this posting as solved in any case. Thanks again!

    Cheers!

    Hi @Anonymous

I test on my side and it can get the row to send an Teams message.

You can take a try like this:

    This is my test excel

Do you have multiple tables in your excel file? Is there a row which TRIGGER is LOW in each table?

    Hi @v-LilyW-msft,

Thanks for your fast response as well! To answer your question no I only have one Table assigned for this flow and the exact same as in my earlier screenshot. I wanted to retrieve all the available rows with 'LOW' Trigger modifier but as what you did there, it only showed the first row. Nevertheless it did solve the multiple bot postings that I faced and as pointed out by @Mira_Ghaly, I got it to work just as intended.

    Cheers!
