Colors not appearing properly

I have a button which I set the BasePaletteColor using a formula. It works, but regardless whether I use Color.Orange or
RGBA(255, 165, 0, 1), the color orange is not well rendered.

Below is a screenshot where in the formula bar it shows what I want, but as you can see the button is well off. The blue looks a bit more like electric blue as well, but it is workable. (the orange shown in the formula bar is very close for both the RGBA or color.orange. Button is the same.

Any thoughts would be great.

    Hi  STS1SS

Method - 1 - Explicitly Set the Button's Fill Property
    RGBA(255, 165, 0, 1)

Method - 2 - Use Named Color Instead
    Color.Orange

Method - 3 - Check button style in the properties panel
    Hoverfill, Pressedfill -  RGBA(255, 165, 0, 1)

Method -  4 - Try Different Opacity Values
    - RGBA(255, 165, 0, 0.99)
    - RGBA(255, 165, 0, 0.95)

Could it be that the grey area that the button sits in is set for a partial transparency, which is the way grey is often rendered, and that the grey rectangle is in front of the button? In that case the transparency lets it show through, but it would effect the orange color of the button.

With modern controls, the BasePaletteColor property defines a color ramp of multiple colors, rather than a single color (as shown in the documentation below).

The base RGBA(255, 165, 0, 1) colour that you specified generates the darker primary colour that you highlighted in your screenshot.

Therefore, if you want the fill colour of your button to be exactly RGBA(255, 165, 0, 1), I recommend that you use the theme editor to find the base palette colour that produces your desired primary button colour.

OK, a couple of great answers explain things, what I can do etc.

But the actual answer to what is going on is that I unwittingly used the modern button control rather than classic. As soon as I posted this I realized this might be an issue as my button had no "Fill" property, I had thought it was just an update for themes and that if I wanted I could just treat it like fill. When I checked I realized many properties are missing.

So, the answer is if you want the old-style control over colors etc., use the classic button. The modern will rely on themes and not respond as you might expect.
