Power Platform Community Forum Thread Details

I'm creating apps for the school I work for. We have student data which changes every year which I'd like to keep in a core sharepoint list. I'd like the apps I create to be able to link to this core data via a student number which remains the same for the time they are at the school so that each year I only need to update the core data rather than the same data in all the different apps.

My question - am I best to stick with sharepoint lists and join somehow in my powerapps or do I look at dataverse...or do I do something in the powerapps tables page with the sharepoint lists?

Any advice welcome (other than 'read the manual'...)
