Dear Community,

We are ready with the PAD code in development machine, could you please help us to know how to deploy this code in user's machine and what are the software required to be installed in user's machine, does this attended automation should be deployed in user's machine or separate virtual machine required ( I know this is required for unattended bot, wanted to double check for attended bot as well).  I have gone through the Winautomation documentation  but i didn't find the corresponding information in PAD ( new version of Winautomation ). seems PAD architecture has changed when compare with Winautomation except the Process Studio where we develop the code.

Please help.

Re: Deploy attended Bot into Production

    Hi @miketran13 ,

    Thanks for your reply.

Can I run the attended Bot in the below way.

Machine 1 ( actual user machine )  - where cloud flows runs

Machine 2 ( dedicated VM ) - where the the gateway and PAD files executes.

I wanted to trigger an attended flow from Machine 1 to Machine 2 where the actual PAD flow runs, in this case,  I will create a logic in cloud flow ( in Machine 1) to start and login the VM ( Machine 2 ), after my PAD flow runs in VM ( Machine 2 )  , send the results back to cloud flow ( Machine 1 ) and shutdown the Machine 2.

I am thinking in this way ? Am I correct ?

    Hi,

    So, which means that:

For unattended mode, you should not have any active user sessions (Locked user session) which means you have to Sign out all user sessions in that computer. In the unattended mode, PAD will automatically sign in and sign out. Please make sure you read it carefully because it is differences between unattended and attended.

For attended mode, the user session must not be locked, since you have to have an active user session so that when running the attended mode, it is something like this: you must look at your screen, if you locked your screen, then it would be failed.

Thanks and hope it can help you.

    Mike

    Hi @miketran13 ,

    Thanks for your reply.

While I go the above links, I have found some contradict information, but may be I am wrong. please clarify.

The below screen mentioned , the PAD flow will not work if the machine\user profile is locked in the device.

The below screen mentioned the PAD flow would sings in to the device , do the work and sing out the device.

This screen mentioned , profile\device must not be locked.

    Please clarify on this.
