Does anyone know if it is possible to put a deadline on an approval action? E.g. approval must be reached in 7 days - has anyone done anything similar? I am looking to loop in a reminder to help but looking to have this variable as each request to approve may have different timeframes associated with it.

Yes, it can be done. Originally, the maximum time limit for approving was 30 days. You can set the duration to 7 days, and the format must comply with the ISO 8601 format:

@v-lin-msftI want the ability to do this at the front end of the flow at the 'for a selected item' action, as an example - not hard wired into the Flow as this is likely to change per each approval flow trigger e.g. each document that is selected for approval will have a different approve by date to the next.

Hi @Anonymous,

If you want to dynamically time approve, you can do this by starting a delay action at the same time as approve, and then terminating the flow after the specified time.

For anyone else still stuck on this. I tested and it works, you can add a dynamic field. Stick an ISO 8601 value in a sharepoint list for example and use it in the settings like so: @triggerBody()?['Timeout']
