Issue with Microsoft Planner Trigger in Power Automate

Hi everyone 👋

I’m trying to set up a flow in Power Automate using the Microsoft Planner trigger to detect when a new task is created in a specific plan. However, the flow is either not triggering correctly or experiencing significant delays.

Here are some details about my setup:

✅ I’m using the “When a task is created” trigger for Microsoft Planner.

✅ The flow is properly authenticated and has access to the correct plan.

✅ I’ve tested by manually creating tasks in Planner, but the trigger does not fire immediately.

✅ There are no errors in the flow run history—it just doesn’t trigger or takes a long time.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any known limitations or additional configurations I should check?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙌

Hi,

What you are describing looks like a good flow. I suspect the issue may be a licensing issue. If you are using a free plan, this is the root cause.
