Handling Simultaneous Requests from Cloud Flow to Run Desktop Flow in Power Automate Desktop

I have a question regarding how Power Automate Desktop handles situations where multiple requests are made simultaneously or near-simultaneously from a cloud flow to run a desktop flow. Specifically:

  1. How does Power Automate Desktop manage multiple requests from cloud flows? Does the cloud flow detect if the desktop flow is already busy or performing other tasks, and will it wait until the desktop flow is free to perform the requested task?

  2. If the cloud flow does not automatically recognize that the desktop flow is busy, what is the recommended design or best practice to ensure that the cloud flow will wait for the desktop flow to become available before proceeding with the requested task?

Any insights or guidance on how to handle this scenario effectively would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Yes Power Automate will know if there is already Desktop flow running on the machine and the other flows will be in queue waiting for current flow to run.

You add priority to the flows so if there is 1 flow running and more than one waiting then if one of them have higher priority they will be next even if they got to the queue later

So no need to worry. Power Automate knows if the connected machine has desktop flow running in that environment.
If you would have the same machine connected in another Power Automate envrionment that uses that to run desktop flows then it would be an issue since your environments would not know that the other one is using the machine.
