Hey guys, I am new to Power Apps and I need to get the location of the different users in my just created App.

How can I do that? Please explain for dummies hehe, my idea is to send this information to a Postgres Database afterwards.

    Hi iglesias6

The Power Apps Analytics will show you the region of users who have logged in and you can also find the device/browser/OS details. This would enable you to identify those who logged in from Germany, vs those who logged in from the US (for example).

There are more details in the 'location report' section of the documentation below.

I only use PowerApps where the user is invited into our Tenant, and then has a presence in our Azure AD. With that, we assign every user to Site(s), which restricts the data they're allowed to interact.  So, through all of that hand-rolled security, we have a pretty good idea of their location, but that doesn't mean that an employee based in Omaha, can't be a site user of Bangor.

Are your users anonymous and external?

Hey @abc 123, I need to get some info from the device that is connected to the power apps. For example, if someone from germany loggings in, I want to get that data. If we can get lat/long values that might works as well.

    Thanks for the explanation !

Track them inside the App, like which screen they're currently using, or the Lat/Long coordinates based on their IP Address?

The first is simple as you can use a collection to write breadcrumbs.

Tracking a human, you'll need to implant Elon's chip inside their brain.

Tracking a device, you'll probably get arrested, or worse, but you can try finding a way to extract an IP Address, and then run it through something like:

I have Starlink, so I'm very happy that it shows me in the middle of New York City. Which is a horrible place of which I would never set a foot. So, just like NYC, your data would be garbage in, garbage out.
