Hi,

Anyone knows some smart way to set up Scheduled Refresh for Power BI report for list of dates when it should be refreshed? In more details: I am looking for a solution to schedule refreshes at least one year ahead based on 2nd working day of the month or even based on more unstructured list of dates provided by the Business.

Regards,

Karo

    Hello @Karokaro

Please connect with the Power BI support forum in the following link address::
    https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Get-Help-with-Power-BI/ct-p/PBI_GetHelp

Moreover In the web portal, right-click on the Power BI report and select Manage. In the left menu, select the Scheduled refresh tab. On the Scheduled refresh page, select New scheduled refresh plan. On the New Scheduled Refresh Plan page, enter a description and set a schedule for when you want your data model to be refreshed.

You can refer the above information through the following write up ::

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/configure-scheduled-refresh#creating-a-schedule-refresh-plan

    Thanks!

@pre  Scheduled Refresh via Power BI Service is not meeting my requirements. I am looking for a solution to schedule refreshes at least one year ahead based on 2nd working day of the month or even based on more unstructured list of dates provided by the Business.

I would like to check if there is a possibility to use Power Automate in my case. It seems that Scheduled Cloud Flow + Refresh a dataset  is not a full option, because I do not have constant frequency. I am wonder if there is any other way ?

    regards,

    Karo

Hello , your answer is very helpful and clear , just you forget to mention " choose the schedule frequency" , we need to choose Weekly and the specific days of the week (screenshot below, specified days out of weekend)

@ahmadov_10 Scheduled Refresh via Power BI Service is not meeting my requirements, however we can set up automatic refreshes based on any list of dates (including list of 2nd working days for next few years)  by using Power Automate and it works perfectly.

    Hello Friends,

I have a very similar requirement, where we have to run our Power BI refresh jobs at different business day for a particular month.

Below table is for a reference.

    MonthBusiness Day
    Jan-241/12/2024
    Feb-242/10/2024
    Mar-243/13/2024

Could someone suggest me the way to achieve this? or can we do it by power automate, if yes, how?
