Excel Run Script - Power Query refresh doesn't do anything

Hi Forum

I'm trying to make a flow that merges (power query append) two excel files stored on a suppliers shared SharePoint folder (for which I have access), using a Excel Run-script to execute the below Office Script.

The Office script works perfectly in Excel (app and online) and when it is being executed from the Run-script I do also get the console.log debug information in the "Show raw outputs", however the data in the excel file is not updated.

All the other actions are working fine the only issue is that the Power Query refreshAllDataConnection doesn't seem to be doing anything.

This is expected, that will not work from a Script, it's been this way since day one(years)

If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Michael E. Gernaey

Thanks for the fast reply, now I can stop chasing a dead end.

But what are my alternatives to this "basic" use case to merge/append two or more excel files based on some kind of an automation flow?
