Get File Content Using Path (Preview) Timeout Issue - Attended Not Working, Local Working

Hi,

Not sure if anybody can help with this, but I've not been able to find any other resources that can help with this.

I've got a file that is stored in sharepoint and is ~400MB in size. I'm using the new "Get File Content Using Path (Preview)" Sharepoint action to get the file and this works when calling from a locally attended session (From the PAD client itself) taking approx 1m16 for the action:

However when calling from a cloud flow onto an attended machine session, it times out after 6 seconds and retries multiple times.

Can anybody help with this?

I've tried setting the timeout to a higher amount, however this doesn't appear to change the behaviour when running on an attended session.

Here is the error in more detail:

@samfaid I am facing the exact same issue as you are here.
After a year now, did you get the solution? Did you raise any ticket with MSFT on this.?

Or do any one in the community can share their knowledge here on how to overcome this.?

    Hi @samfaid

Have you tried fixing a good amount to timeout, say maybe 4 mins or so and check?

    Regards,

    Srini

Is this an attempt to Get file content off the desktop or out of SharePoint? If its out of SharePoint, why call a desktop flow to do it. You can do it using the Get file content using Path action in the cloud flow.  If you are trying to use a dynamically generated path in that action be aware that you need to put it inside an EncodeURIComponent.

@Pstork1 My use case here is to download the file from SharePoint so that the file can be uploaded in a legacy portal with the following browser automation steps.

@Srini007 I have not tried it yet. I will do and keep you posted.
I wonder will that make any difference as the failure happens within few seconds the step is triggered.
