How on earth do you share data with an app that more than one person can use. Right now, I don't see a way to do it.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

You can share an app with as many users as you want. If you use a data source like SharePoint list, CDS or Excel file on OneDrive, it can be shared with the users as well and they all will see the same data.
Sorry for the long delay in answering. Ive been able to share an excel sheet by share the file with other users. It is very triacky, though as I have had to share the specific file and the app with each of my coworkers, though I had previously shared it with the entire company. It works, but is tricky every time I ad a new user. I would prefer to have a dabase store, without having to pay extra, but the excel sheet will work for now. Thanks
