How to Run addin-macro on an Excel by PAD

Hi, 

 

I'd like to run addin-macro on an excel(xlsx) by PAD but failed.

The flow is very simple. open excelfile(xlsx) and run addin-macro in the opened workbook.

 

Is there any way to run it?

    Hi,
    In the Macro parameter of the "Run Excel Macro" action, you must specify the Add-in name and macro name, such as "MyAddIn.xlam!Sample".

    Hello, I am trying to do the same thing except my macro is stored in a VSTO add-in for Excel which I created in Visual Studio.  Can anyone tell me what I should use as the "add-in name" in the Macro field for PAD in this case?  I have tried a few guesses and nothing worked; it all seems like the open Excel sheet can't access the macro.  But since I know the add-in is installed, I know the sheet has access.

    I think it depends on the add-in.

    If there is a button on the Ribbon UI that executes a macro, then UI Automation could be used to control that button.
