Update Macro enabled Word Document

OK - Managed to solved one problem but hit another one.  Is it possible to populate a word document using flow that has macros enabled.  I have a word document report that is using conditional formating to colour code the cells a certain colour when someone chooses for example "On Track" - the cell goes green.  I would like to also use the document in a flow to populate additional data then save as file in sharepoint.  The action Populate Word Document only seems to like .docx  - it would be super great to add more file type options - is it possible to use a .docm.  Or could I use an excel report?  Can you populate certain cells in excel using flow????

    Hi @Anonymous ,

As far as I know, Populate a Microsoft Word template action can only fill content such as plain text and images. Other data formats are not supported.

Please refer to this similar thread for more details on the Populate a Microsoft Word template action:

I figured I'd check if there are any new updates on this. Does anyone know of a way to populate a macro word document with Power Automate?

    Thank you!!
