Hello@Jay-Encodian

How can I add images into a reapeating table using the word online conector to fill a document?

The idea is that I am using reapeating tables to insert items dynamically from a Sharepoint list with Flow and thus making an invoice. Every Invoice is different, so also the items in the list.

How can I add images into these tables dynamicaly for each item listed in the invoice?

Hi @Pavetl

Currently, the Word Online connector only allows you to add text into the files, images are not available at this moment.

Hi @Pavetl

You've a few options to consider:

1. Build up the document in HTML and then use the Encodian Convert HTML to Word to create your document. You can iteratively compose the HTML in your flow, whilst the following post doesn't cover this topic it does outline how to build HTML documents for conversion in a flow - https://blog.encodian.com/2020/01/create-and-insert-a-document-approval-sheet-using-powerautomate-approval-data/

2. If you're able to add placeholder text into your document you could use the Encodian Replace Text with Image to insert images to the document, example post- https://blog.encodian.com/2020/05/populate-a-word-or-pdf-document-using-power-automate/

This was incredibly helpful!!! I spent several days working on this. Using Encodian, I was able to use replace text with images inside a for-each loop. Thank you!

Hi would you be able to share your flow? I also am trying to create a repeating table with text and images. I can pass the text without issue but struggle to only return the first image.

This is much better way of adding repeating sections / tables and images to a document.

Many thanks @Jay-Encodian, I checked over the Sharepoint list suggestion but my images are stored within a Document Library and have a unique ID (1,2,3,4 etc ) that links the image to a Sharepoint list record. So the idea would be for record e.g 3 then I could click gen report and all of the images within the doc library that have ID 3 as a foreign key would return in the generated doc. At present I have used a HTML solution then convert that to PDF. This is working with repeating tables but client is after a word doc.
