Hello there,
My appprover tried to click on the approve/deny button in an approval email in his gmail mailbox, and get this information,
" Suspicious link This link leads to an untrusted site. Are you sure you want to proceed to na-westus2-01.azure-apim.net...?" He clicked to proceed. And then he received a follow up page with a message
"An error occurred while recording your response. Please try again later!"
By checking the flow, I found that the "approve" feedback is registered.
Here is a link from gmail forum,
https://support.google.com/mail/thread/4242603?hl=en
Anybody met similar problem? How to detour this siuation then?
Thanks,
Hi @gstit ,
I just started the test of Gmail in browser, but I still haven't met the problem you mentioned.
Best Regards,
Hi, Did you test it using your smart phone? or you opened gmail in browser?
I met no "suspicious link..." hint on my iphone. But it always appear when I opened it from the browser.
Thanks,
Hi,
I did not mention in the earlier message. We were using "send email with options" action, as you suggested. The email was succesfully formed and sent to gmail. The gmail account user got the email. And they tried to register their approval response with the flow. But Gmail does not believe microsoft azure so there is an alert of "suspicious link".
I am not sure. If it is possible for Microsoft to verify the domain with Gmail. Otherwise this alert of "suspicious link" is quite frightening, especially to those non-technical staff.
Thanks,
Hi @gstit ,
The default working mechanism of Send email with options action is that when the user clicks on a button in User options, the Option in the email will be invalid.
When you click the button again, the message "An error occurred while recording your response. Please try again later!" will appear.
In fact, Send email with options action may have been executed and the user's choice has been obtained.
You could check execution of Send email with options action and Flow run history. It should have passed the option that the user clicked for the first time.
When I was testing on my side, Gmail didn't prompt "Suspicious link This link leads to an untrusted site.", so the Approval feature works.
This problem seems to have nothing to do with MS Flow service. This should be a Gmail-related service that affects this feature and needs to wait for it to be fixed.
Best Regards,
Hi @gstit , There have been issues when users tried using Approvals outside of outlook. If you are not using the comments/remarks feature of approvals, you might want to give a try to "Send an Outlook email with actions" This works perfectly for getting the responses across providers (gmail, yahoo etc.)
Hope this Helps!
