Generating conditional job cards on Teams

Hello,

I’m trying to create job cards on a specific channel based on specific required responses via MS forms.

I’ve created this flow but it doesn’t seem to get them working

The conditions in the below screenshot are equal to the MAIN required responses from the options on MS form

We basically try and create job cards based on the option/options that will be selected from the form. For example, if the condition is equal to a specific required question, eg Test 1 and the option selected was GIF, then generate a card with the name GIF

Depending on the response however there is a different checklist that needs to be updated, for example there is a different checklist that needs to be created on the job card if the response is GIF compared to another.

For this reason, we have created all the other branched conditions.

Even though the flow runs up to some point successfully, it doesn’t generate the cards.

Any ideas on how to make this work? Any further info, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Maria

    Hi Maria,

For verifying text for single select 'GIF' option, pls use 'Contains' operation instead of 'is equal to' in Condition action (Condition 9). Also, make sure you are comparing with text in exact case (uppercase or lower or mix) in all condition actions.

    Hi Manish,

Many thanks for getting back promptly. I used the "contains" operation and checked upper-lower case but still same results..

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you,

    Maria

    Hi,

Are you able to find out which condition is not evaluating the correct result? I can see lot of nested conditions in your flow & wondering if those could be structured or reduced by using switch action 🤔

    Hi Manish,
thanks for your response and helpful advice. So, I tried to develop another flow from scratch to check how it works with one condition instead and I got these results.

    Hi Maria,

In Condition 3, you need to enter the field value dynamically by selecting field from dynamic window. You have entered plain text (left side) in both values. Please rectify those & retest the flow.

    Hi Maria,

Please make sure that form ID is correctly set in trigger. I would suggest using switch action instead of nested conditions.
