Power Automate: Run a query against a query against a Dataset.

Hi,

I am using run a query against a dataset in power automate to get data from data source. But it's not getting all the data into power automate. For example power BI dataset contains 1,40,000 rows but it's getting only 12,000 rows.

Is there any data limitation to the action or Power automate plan which I'm using??

    Hi Rajani_S,

Power BI action "Run a query against a dataset" uses the Power BI rest API to run a query. So you'll face the same API limitations in Power Automates :

    • Maximum of 100,000 rows or 1,000,000 values per query (whichever is hit first). For example if you query for 5 columns, you can get back max 100,000 rows. If you query for 20 columns, you can get back max 50,000 rows (1 million divided by 20).
    • Maximum of 15MB of data per query. Once 15MB is exceeded, the current row will be completed but no additional rows will be written.

If your goal is to export data have a look at this video, if you want to work on data you'll probably be able to replace export action by whatever action you want.

If that's answering your question don't forget to mark my answer as solution 😉

You should ask this new question by starting another topic, you'll get better chance to have an answer 😉
