Trying to enter formulas in data fields

Hello!

I am trying to enter a few basic formulas (i.e. = Action items completed/Action items Identified, =Sum of current RPN/Sum of Original RPN, and a nested IF statement) in to the data fields of my powerapp, to use the other columns from the list, but to override the "text"fields on the list when in the app. I can't get anything to show up, even though it looks as though it's "accepted" it. What is the proper format/process for doing this?

Thank you!

Catherine

    Hi @Anonymous,

Would you please give the whole formula that you used? Also, what is the data fields you are refering to? Did you mean the controls within the Gallery? How did you create the app, using the SharePoint list connection and let powerapps create for you or did you create from blank?

You mentioned that you want to replace the "Text" column with another column. What is this column type? If you let powerapps generate the app, then all the list columns could be shown by picking from the right side. Click on View > Data Sources > Select the gallery, and the columns list dropdown will show.
