Does anyone know how I schedule a flow to create and assign a outlook task on the same day each week?

Hi

I'm new to flow and I'm trying to do something but can't quite manage it.

Does anyone know how I schedule a flow to create and assign a outlook task on the same day each week?

I can create the scheduled task, but can't automate the assignment - what should I do?

    Hello @HB8 ,

you should add a Recurrence trigger and set on which day of the week fire de flow.

Then add a Planner "Create a task" action and assign by adding the user email address in the "Assigned User Ids:

Please let me know if the issue is fixed.

That's great thanks Marco, but it creates a planner task and not an Outlook one. Planner tasks can only be seen in ToDo not in Outlook and the people I need to assign to are Outlook users.

    Any further thoughts?

    hello @HB8 ,

I do believe that if you want to Add a To-Do, it's not possible to assign it to other users, cause it's a "personal" list.

If you want to collaborate with other users, please use the Planner.

I think that it might be possible by adding the Users folder id in the "Folder ID" field.

But I have no idea how to write the expression as only my personal folders appear on the drop down - there is the option to add a custom value - but I can't figure out how to write the expression for the person's folder that I want to assign to

    Hello @HB8 ,

I have made a test on my side, Assigning a task to other users is not supported in Outlook tasks connector of Microsoft Flow currently.

There is a same idea in the Flow Ideas Forum, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please vote the idea:
