Connect Data source according to user

Hello guys,

I thought I posted that question but I cannot find my post so.. Anyways!

Is it possible to have one app, connecting to different data source (Sharepoint lists, built the same way), and let's say when User1@mydomain.com connect to the app, he's automatically reaches his right data source?

This is because the app I've made will probably have to be used by various team across my company and they all have their own SP list with their stock...

I wouldn't really want to create a copy of my app for every team!

Thank you for your answer!!

Anthony

    The app can contain multiple data sources, but uses each user account (if not shared implicitly) to sign-in to that data source. Unfortunately you can´t point a single data source connection to multiple different endpoints.

    @AnthonyRegnier

    I try to stay away from this scenario as much as possible.  There is one hacky way I can think of to accomplish your goal.  But the ideal would always be to maintain a single SharePoint list.

    The trick is to create several galleries stacked on top of each other and only show the one that the user needs to see.  More details are in the post below.  I can't really go into any details on this but you would have to add a new datasource each time a new department wants to "join" the app and program a new gallery.  To me this is extremely annoying.  Better to centralize all data if at all possible.

    Link to older post explaining the method:

    @mdevaney  thanks man

    Well... I guess the easiest way is just to duplicate my app...

    Having galleries on top of each other, then having the entire company's stock inventory in my Sharepoint... Doesnt sound good 😞
