Power Automate Desktop IE Browser Run Error

Wondering is someone has come across this issue before, when navigating to a webpage and trying to login using the automation browser build in within PowerAutomate Desktop im getting the below error.  This then carries on until you close all popups.

For reference when navigating to the webpage in native IE it throws the same error, i have since disabled and uninstalled IE but to me it seems like PowerAutomate is still trying to use it or is using is.

If i navigate the webpage on native Edge it works perfectly fine. I need to open the site within the automation browser as i will need to download a file so using another browser isnt an option.

This is on Windows Servewr 2016, i ahve folowed the instrucutoions below, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/install-browser-extensions#configuring-internet-explorer. But this hasnt helped.

I have ran the same flow perfectly fine on my laptop, so im sure its not an issue with the flow.

Cheers

The automation browser essentially uses IE as its engine. So, if the web page does not work on IE, it won't work on the automation browser either.

However, I don't really follow your logic about other browsers not being an option. Why can't you use Edge or Chrome to download a file? We use it all the time.

Its strange how on my laptop its works but on the server its not, im sure its down to some older version of IE.

And i did try to use Chrome but was given the below error?

Well, you will likely need to use a different action instead. Try using the Press button in web page action to press the download button or something like that (depending on the web UI) to download the file.

    Hi @iBenSmith

As you said that Edge is working fine, why don't you proceed with that?

One reason that not working in server is there could be some organization polices which restricts

Thanks for all the advice guys. I have amended the flow to use chrome and download the file manually. A few extra steps but it has done what i need it to.
