Is it possible to send an email trigged by a specific value in an Excel table row?

I'm brand new to Power Automate and have no idea what I'm doing, but it looks like it could have some useful applications for our business.

I manage a database of leads. When a new lead comes in via email/phone I record the info (name, email, nature or enquiry etc) on the spreadsheet (file is accessed on desktop, synced to Sharepoint) and assign it to a salesperson by writing their name in the final column of the table. I'm wondering whether this data input could be used as a trigger to send an email to that person to notify them that they've been assigned the lead?

For example, I assign a lead to John, let's say, and as soon as I press enter I want that row of the table to be emailed to John.

Is this possible? And is it straightforward enough, given my complete lack of experience with PA? TIA.

    Thanks for your in-depth reply.

Yes, you're correct that it's saved to a SP library - I should have been a bit clearer with my wording.

I ended up using the above solution after discovering the desktop add-in yesterday. It works, however, it only lets me run the flow for one row at a time - annoying but not the end of the world.

Thanks again for your help and for the useful links.

    Hi @BenNL :

Firstly, I am afraid that it is impossible to trigger flow by changing a certain value in excel.

The key is that excel has only one trigger named "For a selected row". Only when the user selects a row and chooses to run to change flow, can the flow be triggered.

Secondly, could you tell me what "synced to SharePoint" means? Is this excel file stored in an SP library?

If so, you also need to select the specified record and click to run flow. Only then can flow be triggered. Ive made a test for your reference:
