Power Automate Choice Condition

Hi all, I have a dataverse table with a status column that contains the following choices: No Additional Edits Needed, Edits Needed - Review Requested, and Edits Needed - No Review Requested. In Power Automate, I am trying to create a flow so that if the status is set to 'No Additional Edits Needed', an email is triggered, else the flow continues. I have tried setting up my condition every way that I can think of, however no matter what value I put in the condition value, the condition passes as false. Any ideas on why this isn't working? I am using the dynamic content for the field, and have tried the value with single quotes, double quotes, no quotes, and using the numerical value of the choice in place of the label.

    Hi @EMKody

Your mapping might be wrong here. You need to refer '_kj_qualitycheckstatus_label' for the IF condition if you are comparing with the text and no need of quotes around it.

    Thanks

    Hi @abm ,

I made the adjustments as suggested, but am still experiencing the same issue:

    Hi @EMKody

You are nearly there. You need can't put _kj_qualitycheckstatus_label as a text. It has to be an expression referring to your previous step. Post a screenshot of your flow and tell me which step is retrieving the value. This step below:

@abm It is a pretty lengthy flow, so I can't post a picture that shows the whole thing, but the step that this information comes from is the trigger, "When a row is added or modified" from a Dataverse table. What expression would I use in my condition to pass it through correctly?

@abm If I use the dynamic column field, the condition works if I compare the control against the numerical value of the choice column. This seems to be the path of least resistance and what I am going to end up doing. Someone in Discord linked me to an article that describes how to use the label value in this case, but using the numerical will be a lot easier, and there are only a couple of choices on this table, so it won't be an issue to get the three numerical values.

    Hi @EMKody

Here it is. Below I am showing two IF conditions. One is for checking the optionset value and other is for comparing the same text value.

The second one you need to add this as an expression:

    triggerOutputs()?['body/_ajb_type_label']

Both ways you can use for the comparison of option set values.

    Thanks

    Hi @EMKody

Yes the numerical option is the best. That means tomorrow if you want to change the text value you don't have to modify your Power Automate Flow. I have shown both the techniques for the comparison. For text we need to add that as an expression and it won't be available under the Dynamic properties as default.

Glad that you resolved the issue and thanks for accepting the solution.

    Thanks again
