400 error: The required field X data type is not supported

When using the trigger "Sharepoint: When a new item is created" I get the above error for a required lookup column. If I change it to not be required it will no longer give me the error however I want to make it required. Ive read some other messages on this forum that mention having too many lookup columns (more than 12) or having lookup columns that allow multiple values. Neither of these are my scenario.

Toggling the "Require that this column contain information" switch will solve this problem.

@v-bacao-msft The problem is that I want the field to be required... So its not a real solution, just a workaround currently...

    Hi @johnh3 ,

Please try to change the In this column to Name instead of Name(link to item).

Then you need to create a new flow to test it.

So if this is your "solution" does that mean we can't use flow with lookup fields that are required?

    Hi Team,

I am getting the same error while saving a flow. It is attached to a SharePoint Library which contains a column with image datatype. The image datatype column cant be modified or changed after creation. Please let us know if there is any workaround or permanent fix for it.

    Please find the error below:

Flow save failed with code 'DynamicOperationRequestClientFailure' and message 'The dynamic operation request to API 'sharepointonline' operation 'GetTable' failed with status code 'BadRequest'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. Error response: { "status": 400, "message": "The required field \"Thumbline\" data type is not supported\r\nclientRequestId: 040d5e79-2a87-4c4a-9406-7cb0465b494b\r\nserviceRequestId: 040d5e79-2a87-4c4a-9406-7cb0465b494b" }'.

I am having the same issue, i have a a document library (using a content type) with a required lookup collumn referencing an ellement in a other list (using a content type also). When i try to get a file, i get error: "the he required field \"Projet\" data type is not supported". I Have tried using different views that do not return that collumn but PowerAutomate still fails with the same error.

Is there an other workaround other than making the collumn not required anymore? We need this collumn to be required.
