Count how many members each distinct group has from one list and update the group member count in other list

Hello all,

I have two lists: LICENSES and GROUP MEMBER COUNT. The first list has 1500+ (and growing) entries and it has multiple columns, two of the being called Group and License Status. The second lists has only 2 columns (Group and Member Count).

Using a workflow, I want to achieve the following thing: Update the Member Count of each Group of the GROUP MEMBER COUNT list, based on how many members are in each distinct Group and have the License Status set to active from the LICENSES list.

(When grouping the LICENSES list by Group and filtering by the License Status, it shows how many members each group has - those are the values that I want to copy in the second list)

I added the "get items" workflow with the parameter Filter Query = License_x0020_status eq 'Active' and this returns all items of the LICENSES list that have that column set to active. I then added a "initialize variable" / type "Array" / value "

union(body('Grab_all_groups'),body('Grab_all_groups'))" which returned an array with all the distinct groups...

I have no idea on how to continue from now on. I tried using "apply to each" and some conditions, but it took 15+ minutes and the workflow didn't finish going through all the entries and I canceled it.

Does anyone have any idea on how to implement this? Thanks!
