Flow staus when connections owner leaves organisation

Hello

I am a temporary agency worker who has been tasked with creating Forms and Flows for the organisation.

The connections on the flows I have created (to send form responses to a shared inbox) show my email address with the organisation (both Microsoft Forms and Office 365 Outlook)

When my temporary contract ends, what will happen to the flows if the connections have my email address? I have seen conflicting information on these forums and would be grateful for a solution to this issue.

Thank you in advance.

Once your Power Automate License has been removed from your Azure User account the Flows will no longer function. All Flow should be created with a Service account.

Thank you for your reply. If a Service Account can’t be obtained, what would be the next way to go around saving the flows from deletion?

The Flows will not delete, the Flows just wont run until an account with a valid Flow License takes ownership of the Connections. The inability for a Global Admin to understand the need for a Service account to be used in the environment as it pertains to running Power Automate Flows is suspect. Good luck, please mark the thread as Solved if this meets your approval.

    Hi @lisae1103 ,

As mentioned by @ZachryGroup  you flow will stop functioning and it will throw error.

    Precautions:

    1 - Add Co-owner

Add co-owner to your flows, they will have full access to your flows and in such times they can access it and change the connection configurations to their email and your flow will start working.

    2 - Admin can help

If your flows doesn't have any co-owner and you left the organization, then admin can add co-owner and they can fix your flow.

Its better to have service account, else above two way are there to fix it.

    Thanks,

    Vivek
