Office 365 Outlook: add sender to contacts if does not exists already

Hello!

Getting frustrated to make a simple automated flow in Flows.

Office 365 Outlook involved.

The process I wanted to put together:

1. When new e-mail arrives (trigger)

2. Check sender e-mail addres against existing Contacts (by e-mail address)

3. If senders e-mail address does not exists in the Contacts, then add it to, else do nothing

My problem is in the 2. part: checking the mail address. I cant figure out how to do this. After the trigger what comes next?

Thank You for Your help!

    Hi @szaboarpad,

The approach provided by @ChristianAbata is correct, but I think we need a little clarification. Before checking the sender email whether exists in the Outlook contact, we should create a Flag to mark the existence of the Email,  we could create an int variable before the Apply to each action, set its default value to 0, and if the email find, in the yes branch set the variable to "1", for example:

After that, create a condition action to determine the variable whether is equal to 0, if yes, create contact:

    Hi @v-litu-msft !
    Thank You for the solution!

I started with @ChristianAbata s workaround, but somehow I get created the same contact again and again. (Otherwise if we see from the average users viewpoint, this kind simple task should be easy as his solution. Only 2 to 4 steps).
So in the end I following @v-litu-msft s solution, ad worked.

I post the whole process here.

Note: when You get the contacts and applying the senders email address the MS flow automatically added an inner Apply each, cause (I guess) one Contact record can contain multiple e-mail address (work mail, home mail, other mail).

Everyone, thank You for Your help! 🙂

    Hi there,

I'm very new to Power Automate and trying to replicate your above flow, however, I am getting stuck at where it says "Apply to Each" and "Value" is entered in the "*Select an output from previous steps" field. Value does not show up as an option for me when I'm searching the Dynamic Content list. Can I also ask what you are using as your Item ID in the "Get contact" step? I've tried "From" and it doesn't work. Thank you for your time.
