Adding a hyperlink from within an email to a planner task

I am new to power automate so go easy on me!

I have created a flow (which works) that creates a new task in planner, this is generated from an email (from a specific team). So far so good.

What I now want to do is add the unique hyperlink that is contained within the body text of the email, to the above task in the 'attachments section - a link to a URL'. Is this possible?

    Hi @Anonymous :

Do you want to get the hyperlink address inside the email body?

If so, I've made a test for your reference:

    My flow:

    expression:

    split(split(triggerOutputs()?['body/body'],'<a href="')[1],'"')[0]

    The Result:

    Hi Bof,

Thanks for responding. What i hoped (if possible) is to get the hyperlink from the email (which looks similar to yours) and add it to the planner task which we create based on the same email (using the subject of the email as the planner task name and the email arrival date as the start date of the task). I was hoping we could then get the hyperlink from the email and add it to here:

    Is that possible?

    Hi Bof,

All seemed to be well but the last two tasks have thrown up the following error:

Schema validation has failed. Validation for field 'References.Reference.Alias', on entity 'TaskDetails' has failed: The field cannot be longer than 100 characters.

I assume this relates to the link being copied (which is quite lengthy). Is there any way around this?

    Brian

    Hi @Anonymous :

This is a limitation of the connector, I'm afraid there is no workaround now. But you can create a new idea through the below URL, then ask  your colleagues to raise up the votes.

Power Apps Ideas - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

The  product team has direct visibility of these ideas and they will implement it on the basis of the highest number of votes received.

    Best Regards,

    Bof
