Automatically starting a Teams Call

Hello Power Automate champions,

Looking for some help with completing my desired Flow. Currently, I have a Flow that when a specific keyword is typed in a Channel, it will pull a Tagged Users List, Create a new chat room with them all in and send an Adaptive Card in the newly created Chat. The final step that I want to have the flow do is to start a Call from that newly created Chat.

Is that possible? Is there some kind of clever workaround? Based on how I have the flow now, I have the new chat ID and the participant data...

Hi @TimDemma,

Via a Graph API request you can start a Group call, over here is an example:

That does require you to register a bot specifically for this and it does not look like it would be part of the same conversation. It looks like it would be a separate group call without a chat function.

Hi, did you have any progress in this topic? I have the same issue, I need to start one call from Teams chat created everytime that one action is made.

Hi @IgorSilva

I wasn't able to get exactly what I was hoping to accomplish figured out, but kind of found a work around. I was able to set up a function that pulls in designated Teams Channel members based on a Tag they are assigned to into a newly created Teams Chat where a user can then press the regular call button which will ping everyone's devices.

Here is the flow that I created, let me know if you want me to expand on any of the steps:
