Teams Chat in power apps

Hello Community Experts,

There is an urgent requirement where I have to fetch the recent Microsoft teams chat in a gallery in power app, just like how the users are listed in teams and when we click on those users we can check the chat history, the same way I would like to display it in power apps.

How do I achieve this requirement?

    Hi @Sumaira ,

     

    This can be achieved by Get messages action of Microsoft Teams connector. It is used to get messages from a channel in a specific Team.

    MicrosoftTeams.GetMessagesFromChannel("groupID", "channelID").value

    Note: the groupID and channelID can be found in Link to channel.

    I actually want to fetch my recent chats which comes from chat section not from the group

    Hi @Sumaira ,

     

    I'm afraid it's not supported to get content from personal chat for now since Microsoft Teams connector only enable you to get content from Teams workspace.

    The only solution is to create Custom Connectors based on Get chatMessage Graph API.

    Yes, personal chat. It is explicitly declaimed in the API document.
