Complete n00b here. A remote desktop has been configured with Power Automate and Office installed. If the RDP user has local admin privileges, I can run in unattended mode from a cloud flow, but if we remove local admin I can't even create or edit without getting the message
Test connection failed. Details: Connection failed: [Machine ...] There’s an issue with your credentials. Check your credentials or use different credentials to connect to the machine.
Desktop flows can be run locally regardless of the privilege setting.
Hi @pollyo
Did you find microsoft documention on this?
I also want to avoid giving admin access.
@pollyoYou've obviously had the problem for a while. Have you by any chance found a solution to not give local admin in the meantime? Was looking for official documentation but only came across this post. "Remote Desktop Users" seems not to be sufficient.
@Ankesh_49 thank you for the reply. Unattended execution does work for me if the account has local admin privileges, but for security reasons we would prefer avoiding having any workstations with simple domain auth AND local admin privileges.
@pollyo Refer this https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/connection-failed-ui-flow/td-p/761276
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks
Ankesh
