Hello All,

I'm using latest version of Power Automate desktop application.

I need to download excel and pdf files from the Sharepoint.

I'm using -

1.  Sharepoint Actions --> Get file content

2. File Actions --> Convert binary data to file

This use to download the excel file and save it to the required destination folder.

This was working fine in the older version 2.28.135.23016 and it is giving error after I updated the desktop app version.

Can anyone guide me on how can i download excel and pdf files from sharepoint in power automate desktop flow ?

    Hello,

Got to know that this is a known bug in the latest version and will be fixed in the next version.

Because it‘s a preview action it can happen

Workaround: install the previous version (ask the Microsoft support for installation file).

There is a workaround I found using a cloud flow otherwise you may be out of luck until the next iteration of PAD. Unfortunately "Preview" actions both on desktop and cloud are extremely unreliable. I would caution, as I've experienced issues myself, to not modify logic to use these actions.

Edit: It does frustrate me that Microsoft deployed these SPO actions as a work around to SPO no longer being available via windows explorer. I would expect these actions to have a slightly higher reliability than your generic preview actions.
