I'm new to Power Automate. I'm trying to recreate a complex new employee form that had been a WordPress form and lots of conditional logic and different email notifications. Is it possible for data in the form to govern which colleague gets an email?
e.g. Will the new employee be a Dialogue team member? if yes is selected Dialogue admin get notification email

Yes it is. I demonstrate how to set up a dynamic content key in this section of my YT Tutorial linked below. The dynamic content key will output an email address (or a string of emails) based on a selection made in a form.

In this Microsoft Power Automate Tutorial I’m going to cover where file uploads from your Microsoft Forms are saved. I’ll also show you how attach the uploaded files to an email and how to dynamically name the files and customize the recipient of the email based on the selections made in your Microsoft Form. I will also cover how to handle responses that don’t include any file uploads.

    Hi

Could you elaborate the conditional logic which u need to incoporate - based on that we can think of flow and form design should look like ?

    Also as you asked -
Is it possible for data in the form to govern which colleague gets an email?
e.g. Will the new employee be a Dialogue team member? if yes is selected Dialogue admin get notification email

Yes it is possible - we can configure to send email accordingly.

    Thanks & Regards,

Employee onboarding is a rather broad term. Where I work, we use Power Automate for most of the HR hiring process including onboarding, so I can say it can definitely be done. As you stated, it is complex. But beyond saying that it can be done, it is difficult to give you any specific guidance. If you are new to Power Automate, you may want to tackle a few smaller projects first, or maybe I am just thinking too broadly about your needs. The process I support uses three forms and has over 45 workflows.

You mention you have complex conditional logic in your forms. That is certainly a weakness in Microsoft Forms and SharePoint list forms. You will most likely need to use Power Apps to achieve some of the conditional logic you had with WordPress. We don't use Power Apps as it makes things too complex. Instead, fortunately, we use Nintex Forms to add conditional logic to SharePoint list forms. It is much easier to use than Power Apps. There are other solutions such as PlumSail forms that can make forms development much easier in Microsoft 365.
